Welcome to the Digital Archive of
ETHNIKOS KIRIX/THE NATIONAL HERALD!

This free digital archive has been made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation.

Its purpose is to preserve the historical content of the newspaper since its founding in 1915 by digitizing it and making it available on the Internet for future generations.

This historical collection of 109 years of the ETHNIKOS KIRIX and its sister publication, The National Herald, consists of hundreds of thousands of pages, all of which will be accessible to the general public. It will include the daily editions of the Greek-language newspaper, the weekly English-language editions, and every insert we possess (including, but not limited to, the weekly insert "PERIODIKO," the monthly insert "GYNAIKA," and every special edition we have published) in both Greek and English.

As the oldest Greek daily newspaper outside of Greece, this Archive will offer Greeks and Philhellenes a database of newspapers to research the rich history of our Community.

The history of Hellenism in the United States, as well as around the world, has been printed in the Greek language in the pages of the Ethnikos Kirix since its founding on April 2, 1915, and in English since October 18, 1997. With the help of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, this invaluable historical record will be preserved for all future generations.
